Summary
As part of the Field Operations team, the Field Service Manager has responsibility for coordinating internal resources, partners, vendors, and clients to support and ensure that installations and special projects are completed successfully and is required to manage their work load without constant supervision. Assure teamwork with other PVT Solar, Inc. departments including Customer Support, App Engineering, Supply Chain, and other areas as needed to accomplish duties and projects. The position requires attention to detail, effective organization and communication of information, problem solving, and flexibility to work within a fast paced, changeable environment.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Manage the planning, execution, and monitoring of special and ongoing Field Operations projects within a defined geographic coverage area.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and status documents on projects and assignments.
- Assist in identifying, designing, and maintaining accurate information, including KPI's and SLA's, for managing internal and external resources to accomplish objectives.
- Participate in ongoing process improvements, business analysis, CRM and other data bases used to manage installations and special projects.
- Participate in the development of best practices and knowledge base to continuously improve delivery of installation services.
- Assist in the development and distribution of business implementation rules, on-going recommendations for installation enhancements as well as any other necessary documentation to ensure successful installations.
- Review all components and installation procedures for compliance to current and future international, regional and local building codes and practices
- Participate in the design review process with apps engineering and sales, as necessary
- Assist in and provide on-going guidance in the training of trades on the installation of the Echo system
- Ensure procedures, policies and guidelines documentation and training materials are properly updated and maintained for areas of responsibility.
- Provide guidance and oversight to partners in process adherence and critical success factors
- Provide guidance to trouble shoot and resolve system and installation issues
- Assist in the resolution of inter-trade and local inspection issues that may arise during installation process
- Provide system and installation practice feedback and actively participate in resolution process
- Conduct quality assurance audits of partners, processes and installations
- Assist in providing warranty support including consumer interaction, as necessary
- Assist in semi-annual reviews of partner performance.
Qualifications/Experience
- 10 years residential construction, minimum 5 in supervisory role
- Customer Relationship Management experience/expertise
- Must be able to work in a dynamic, high paced, demanding environment.
- Must be well organized and with attention to detail.
- Must be able to complete assignments accurately and on time.
- Must be able to interface with PVT Solar, Inc. team members and management, as well as vendors, installation partners and clients.
- Must have excellent planning, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Must maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
- Successful candidate will be a dynamic and motivated individual and will maintain a "whatever it takes attitude" as part of a growing startup organization.
- Thorough understanding of International, Regional, State and local building codes
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated success in cross-trade communication
Desired qualifications
- BS Degree in Building Science or demonstrated equivalent experience
- Prior experience working with a young startup
- Flexible working schedule
- Large-scale infrastructure deployment expertise
- Ability to travel – requires extensive overnight travel
- Customer Relationship Management expertise
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software
