The company is in its early stage of growth – rapidly moving on from product development, market validation and initial commercialization to building a scalable organization structure, infrastructure and service platforms. To succeed in this role you will possess a combination of leadership abilities with detail-oriented execution skills and business savvy.
Responsibilities
- Develop a benchmarked, world-class, service oriented Sales Operations function
- Develop best cost and scalable processes and systems required to manage a Sales Operations organization based across multiple geographies (onshore and offshore) and over time, growing internationally
- Develop, support and manage a standardized sales forecast and supply / demand matching and management system with focus on exception-based, integrated data analysis
- In general, reduce all possible sales administration burdens on the field
- Own the primary responsibility for the Order desk – over time, the order desk has to have substantial capabilities to support hundreds of integration partners in the Existing Homes sector and hundreds installation partners and communities in the New Homes sector
- Develop effective supply / demand matching and corresponding order delivery mechanisms by implementing and managing the relevant process, in close cooperation with supply chain management and the logistics team
- Assist in reviewing and preparing customer contracts and purchase orders to ensure business provisions are consistent with Sales department proposals and company business practices and policy
- Be responsible for developing and managing sales incentive compensation plans and payouts and work closely with sales management & channel management to develop annual / quarterly sales territory assignments and quotas
- Develop and monitor key business metrics, produce weekly pipeline and forecast reporting, publish sales results and other ad hoc reports as required
- Contribute to the development and deployment of the appropriate, world-class IT solutions, which drive both improved Service and an ability to scale
- Develop and manage an operating expense budget
Candidate qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant experience from a relevant industry
- 2+ years of the above experience in a leadership role, ideally leading teams
- A graduate level qualification in a related field
- Proven ability to recruit, motivate, develop and manage top performers
- Proven ability to drive aggressive, core capability and customer focused team targets
- Strong communication abilities – both verbal and written – and presentation abilities
- Organizational skills, self-motivation and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience in managing a distributed teams and a combination of full-time and outsourced / offshore resources is a plus
- Experience from an industry with high value products which require installation expertise and service backup, is a plus
- Experience from an industry where high value products are sold into the existing + New homes market is a plus
Other details
- Up to 20% domestic / international travel
- This position is not eligible for a relocation allowance
